Who are they for?
Lash extensions are for anyone who wants to accentuate their eyes with naturally long, thick eyelashes.
What is the upkeep for these lashes?
After receiving lash extensions we recommend the client does not shower for 24 hours; swim or use the sauna for 48 hours to allow adequate time for lashes to bond. After the 48 hour period our lash extensions are waterproof. Try not to rub the eyes, and avoid oil based mascara. You will not need a curler or mascara but if you choose, you may purchase water based mascara (and water based makeup remover that will be coming soon to Chrysalis Salon & Spa).
Why would I want eyelash extensions?
Extensions are for anyone who wants to add length, volume, and thickness to their natural lash. Extensions are low maintenance and do not require and eyelash curler or mascara that can smear and flake. Extensions don’t harm the natural lashes and are actually healthy option for contact lense wearers.
How are they applied?
During the procedure, you'll rest on our facial bed and the lower eyelashes are taped with surgical tape. You will not feel anything and your eyes will be closed the whole time. Using a fine point tweezer, a single synthetic lash is dipped into medical grade glue and attached 1mm away from the root of a single natural lash. This initial procedure takes about two hours with an average of 40-45 extension on each eye. To maintain the look we recommend coming in every 2 weeks for a touch-up, which takes about 30 minutes to an hour.
How long do they last?
Up to 2-3 months. Touch-ups are recommended every 2 weeks. |
